My business URL in most all search engines redirects to porn

Hello,

When a Google search is performed to search for our community website, which is <edited by a Community Manager as noted below> the link takes people to an adult porn site instead. How do we correct this? It does not do this when using Bing, Duckduckgo, etc. Only with Google.

Thank you.

Andreas

Hi Andreas

I'm sure you'll understand that I haven't checked that this occurs for me :)

However, if this is happening then I suggest looking at a tool such as https://sucuri.net/ to see what might be happening with your website. It's entirely possible that malware has been injected into your site in some fashion.

I'd also recommend talking to the smart people over at the Webmaster forum (https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/webmasters) since this forum is designed more for assistance with Google My Business listings rather than pure website issues.

Hi @Andreas T, when doing a quick review of your domain, it is built on the Joomla platform and does indeed have malware injected into it.

You will learn more about Joomla and this security issue on the Joomla forums. And as @PriyaC stated, you can run a malware scan of your site on Sucuri, which is a great scanner.

You will need someone with experience with Joomla to offer you help, if you are not. The disinfection steps needed to follow are very specific for Joomla.

I wouldn't wait on getting this resolved. Once you do, be sure to check your Google Search Console and clear the Google malware alert your sire is flying. You can learn more about submitting your site to Google to have the malware alert cleared at this link.
