Merge local page to brand page, missing button for "Connect to a different page"

Hello,
Im trying to merge my local page to my brand page (with already built content). Im looking at this support article:

https://support.google.com/business/answer/6010825?hl=en

and this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVp6XMOAEjs&t=79s

but it looks like the button "connect to a different page is missing". Im using classic view of g plus and i am owner of both pages.

Local page - https://plus.google.com/b/115565845920544740135/115565845920544740135/about

Brand page - https://plus.google.com/u/0/+NovahostBg

Is this some bug with the new design coming or there is some new way to do this ?

Thank you in advance!

Hello @Peter H

Yes, the article needs to be updated as the process has changed.

While signed in to your account try going here to see if the "Connect a different page" button is present: https://plus.google.com/b/115565845920544740135/pages/settings/plus

Also, to avoid any issues with your listing, please review to the Google My Business guidelines to make sure your listing is in compliance.

@Peter H

Google reecently made some weird  changes of the GMB userinterface.

This changes make the HC article about "connecting" steps not anymore properly working.

I nevertheess figured out a kind of hack to get the steps explained in their HC article working

My hack works only in case both of your pages are managed by you as owner in your own dashboard.

In this case go to

https://plus.google.com/b/115565845920544740135/pages/settings/plus (of course while signed in to your GooglAccount)

Then scroll down to the button "Connect a different page" and click this button

Its btw the same as per step 6 in their HC article

From now on  just follow step 7 and further of their HC article.

The link you provided is not working anymore...

I tried going to my local page and adding /pages/settings/plus at the URL, as suggested, but I am getting a 404. Could you confirm I have the right URL please:

Thank you.

I'm experiencing the same issues that Josee is :(.  I'm hopeful that there's another way to get this done.

Cheers!

Hi @Josee B and @Stephen L

Unfortunately this method no longer works. I don't believe there is a way to do it now.

I am having the same issues. Any idea why they would remove this ability? I hate having our youtube channel and G+ pages unconnected from our business page.

Hi Helmut,

I'm having the same problem and your link which worked before says "404 Error".

Is there any other way it can be merged?

Thanks in advance :)
