How to switch from a normal to brand account

2 years ago I created a Google account under our business name however it thinks this account is a human being with a first & last name. I did not know at the time that a business/brand account could be separately created under my personal account. Is it possible to transfer this to the correct approach Google intended?

@Big Sky M

since you missed providing any URL to the "Google account" in question I can't check of what typ it is.

Supposed it is created as  a G+ personal profile you can't change  to either of the three GMB typs of listing (Store front, Service area or Brand)

More to say only if knowing the URL to the "Google account"

Thanks Helmut. I thought this would be the answer. I'll just keep things the way they are.
