How to remove a duplicate Google Plus page I don't own/manage?

Hi,

Please see above title.

This is the page we have access to: https://plus.google.com/116127553274738534206/

And this is the duplicate one we don't have access: https://plus.google.com/u/2/110298098163153154427

Will there be a problem if there are 2 Google+ pages for my business?

Thanks!

Hi Christine

Having a duplicate G+ page would definitely have an effect on your website. Because both pages link to the same domain, first thing you need to check is which page is verified. Simply see the tick mark beside the website URL.

Now since you have no access to the old page, and if you have tried every trick to get its access, just drop a request to Google, and report the page. Yes you need to provide enough details for Google, to convince that its a duplicate page.

Here are the steps to do so -

Open Google+.
Click the profile or page you want to report.
Under the profile photo and summary, click the down arrow > Report/block [name].

Hi Christine,

The duplicate one you are referring to is a Brand Page which does not show up on maps. So I don't see any harm of keeping that page. The one which you own is a Google My Business Listing and is verified. And I could locate that on maps too. So everything seems fine to me.

However, as Annie referred you can always report the duplicate.

Sujay
