Hello everyone.

We opened Cell phone & Computer store about a month ago. It's Mr Fix Cell phone & Computer, Richmond.

We have a lot content and about 9 review, but it's still a small dot on the map?

When it will be bigger and what do we need to do?

Thanks for you help!

The red dots on maps are called places labels. You can learn more about them on the link below:

"The place labels shown on Google Maps are determined algorithmically based on a large number of factors. One factor these algorithms consider is the accuracy of the business information and the richness of the content associated with the business."

https://support.google.com/business/answer/6056435?hl=en

The size of the place labels is based on 3 major factors.
1. Location
2. Relevance
3. Prominence

You can read more about these factors here:

I would also recommend listing and claiming your business profile on other search engines and directories like Bing, Yelp, yellowpages, superpages etc becuase the algorithm trusts those sources and looks to see that your business profile at those sources matches your Google my business page. You can find a thorough list of those sources here:

Cody, thank you for your answer. I found this one https://moz.com/learn/local/how-to-get-citations very useful.
Well, we did a lot of stuff, you mention before.
We work with facebook, yelp, yellowpages, a lot of different sources, we keep building our website, we have 100% completed account in Google maps with key words as well. But we still have problems with place labels. I was in my store today and typed "cell phone repair" or "cell phone repair near me" and my place label was still so small, so I was able to read another company names with more than 5 miles away from me, but not my...

adding to what cody already said about Place Labels

It is Google Local algorithms that choose what business listings are shown as Place Labels and it is not possible for business owners to request inclusion of the business listing as a Place Label. There is also nothing business owners can do with their business listings to ensure that their businesses are displayed as a Place Label on Maps and Earth.

Helmut, thank you for your answer. I have another question.
When I am trying to find my place on iPhone on Maps (what is powered by Google) I can't see it at all on the map.
Do you know what can be a reason for this?
