Hi Tom,

The virtual tours can only be uploaded by certified Google Photographers.

More info can be fond here: https://www.google.com/maps/streetview/trusted-signup/

Hi Tom,
If you wish to upload just individual photo spheres to the business listing, not to create a tour to be displayed in the "See Inside" feature, you can upload them through Google Maps.
Search for the business on Maps, click the "Add a photo" link in the information panel and upload the photo sphere.

((I'm sorry to bust in here after the thread has been marked as having a "Best Answer" but I see misinformation in the responses. That misinformation can make Tom L's predicament FAR more frustrating than necessary.))

Tom L's question is essentially two questions that are almost the same. ElizabethP's response points directly to a website that invites Tom to join the Certified Trusted Photographer program. Being a part of that program is tedious work and requires a lot of time, effort and skill. Tom apparently already HAS a business and I don't believe he wishes to start a new one as a photographer.

Tom, there are two ways to do what you're wanting. You mention that you'd like to upload your own "pano photography" (officially known as "Photo Spheres"). If you're wishing to do these shots on your own, it's pretty simple with Google's Street View app:

Android: https://goo.gl/6KVJ8x

--OR--

iOS: https://goo.gl/qm0eNB

Once you complete the full Photo Sphere, you'll be asked where the image was taken.. Select the proper location and your Photo Sphere will go live on that listing. Example: https://goo.gl/maps/QgwDr4JWszv (notice that it's MY name associated with the image, that's because it's mine and I can remove it at will even though it's not my business).

If your intent is to have a professional, Google-vetted photographer, do this for you. The process is much simpler. There's a one-time, very affordable fee. The images are the property of the business and will remain on Google Maps, Google Search and Google Plus as long as the business owner wishes or Google deems them irrelevant (business closures and whatnot). I would highly suggest this approach. A Google Certified Trusted Photographer can produce higher-quality 'Street View' images (yes, they're actually Street View images) than a Photo Sphere done on your mobile device. I am a Certified Trusted Photographer, so to avoid conflict of interest, I'll show an example done by Google itself: https://goo.gl/maps/BJQHCutc8nz . You simply can't do that on a phone.

The web-address for finding and hiring a local Google Certified Trusted Photographer is here: https://www.google.com/maps/streetview/trusted/ (simply scroll to the bottom of the page to find your location)

Apologies for the long post but there was a lot of confusing information given that needed clearing up.

I hope this helps. Please don't hesitate to respond.
