Google my Business & Youtube - need to merge accounts??

I have a client who has two separate accounts. One was used to recently setup the Google My Business account and another that was used to setup the Youtube account a few years back.

I have access to both accounts. The Google my Business account has been verified as the postcard was received and the code entered. It can be seen here:

The YouTube channel has not been verified with my domain yet as I want to make sure I set every thing up properly first and not have any conflicts with Google my Business. It has 16 subscribers to the channel.

This account was setup using an email account associated with the domain, but as the client uses google apps it was possible.

Is there a way to merge these two accounts? What is the best way to do this?

Is it better to delete the entire youtube page and start over using the email associated with the account that was used to setup the Google My business page.

Sincere thanks to anyone who can help here.

Hi @leftfooter007,

Thanks for writing. I would recommend this article for help on moving the YouTube channel over to the correct account. I think that the following articles may also be helpful for you:

1. Manage YouTube Channels

2. Use a Different Name

Let me know if you have any additional questions!

Best,

Liz

Hi Liz,

Thanks so much for your reply. I have read all those three articles you referred to. It seems that they discuss Google + pages. I however just have a Google My Business Page. Is there an article that will show me how to merge the Google My Business page
https://www.google.co.uk/#q=crushing+tigers

with my YouTube page

https://www.youtube.com/user/CrushingTigers

Thanks again Liz.
PS. I've now discovered that both pages have gmail logins.

Hi there,

When you create a Google My Business listing, you also create a G+ page. The link to yours is: https://plus.google.com/117973927313929994385/about

With that, you can go into your Google My Business dashboard, and click "manage," that will take you into the area where you can manage images etc on the G+ page. You can connect your YouTube channel by following the same instructions on how to connect it to a G+ page.

Let me know if you need further help.

Best,
Liz

Hi Liz,

Hi Liz, I really appreciate your help.

I've attempted everything and nothing seems to work, it just get's more confusing the further I go on.It's a veritable labyrinth of choices, each one more confusing than the last. For a start, when I login to the mange section of Google my business, there is no section that allows me to link to a google + page or a youtube account. Furthermore, it asks do I want to setup a google plus page, which I already have??

I've logged into the Google plus page that's associated with the youtube page. I've added the gmail address of the google My Business as a manager. When I click on go to channel, it asks me to create a channel?

I consider myself quite tech savvy, but I'm truly flummoxed.
If there was anyway you could login via Teamviewer, I'd really appreciate it.

Hi @leftfooter007,

Per your first screenshot, you have two different accounts. My thought is that your YouTube channel likely resides in one account, and you're trying to connect to a Google My Business listing in the other account.

I am unfortunately not able to log into your account. I would recommend going through the steps to transfer your YouTube channel from its current account to the one where your Google My Business listing is connected, then connecting the channel from there.

Best,
Liz
