Hi,

I have a party and event planning business Dina's Sweet Creations in Redwood City, CA. When a Google user types "Dina's Sweet Creations" you can see the location is listed on Google map but when they search for a party planning company near Redwood City my business is not on Google map. Please, help me fix the problem!

Hi @Dinara G

I find you position 7 for "party planner redwood city, ca"

There are 100's of signals that Google takes into account. here are the Top 20 ranking factors

Where to Start:

Build up some local business citations

https://www.whitespark.ca/top-local-citation-sources-by-country

Remember to keep your Name, Address and Phone Number exactly as it appears on your business page.

Build up your reviews on your business page. Every happy customer you have, ask them to leave a review on your business page.

You can send customers this link : https://goo.gl/HNrDZB

Your Website:

Your current title reads :

<title> Dina's Sweet Creations</title>

Suggest changing to :

<title> Dina's Sweet Creations - Party Planner Redwood City, CA</title>

NB: for some  reason you have this within your <title> it needs to be removed

It looks like someone tried to add a FB like button in the wrong place.  This is across all of the sites pages.

        <div class="fb-like" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/dinasweetcreations/?ref=aymt_homepage_panel" data-layout="standard" data-action="like" data-show-faces="true" data-share="true"></div>

Change your pages H1 tag from About >> to >> Your Party Planner in Redwood City

Or something a little more creative, but you still want your main target keywords in it

In your sites footer add your business details :

Dina's Sweet Creations

936 Hudson St Redwood City, CA 94061

Email: info@dinassweetcreations.com

Phone: (650) 889 0563

And use schema to mark these up:

<script type="application/ld+json">
	{
  	"@context": "http://schema.org",
  	"@type": "LocalBusiness",
  	"address": {
    "@type": "PostalAddress",
    "streetAddress": "936 Hudson St",
    "addressLocality": "Redwood City",
    "addressRegion": "CA",
    "postalCode":"94061"
      	},
  	"description": "Let Dina's Sweet Creations design and plan your event with personalized and handmade decor",
  	"name": "Dina's Sweet Creations",
  	"telephone": "(650) 889 0563",
  	"email": "info@dinassweetcreations.com",
    "url": "http://sweetcreations.tictail.com/",

  	"sameAs" : [ "https://plus.google.com/104080779790295311231/",
    "https://www.facebook.com/dinasweetcreations/"]
    	}
</script>

You can add this to footer.php file or in a Raw html block

I think that is enough homework for now :)

@Dinara G & @Tim Capper

to add what Tim said:

I get your business shown up in the three pack for "party planner near Redwood City".
Can't be based on the mentioned  " Google map's incorrect data. " LOL

Hi Tim,

big thank you for the detailed tech support! My husband will help me with some of it (he is an engineer in Google)

For now I removed the

<div class="fb-like" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/dinasweetcreations/?ref=aymt_homepage_panel" data-layout="standard" data-action="like" data-show-faces="true" data-share="true"></div>

Will study your reply more today and the citations too. I do not know anything about the code language but somehow with instructions from different sources like Red Tricycle and Yelp I added their symbols to my web site. Tried to do it with Facebook but placed in a wrong place. I also built my site myself :)
