Two business’s have the exact same business location address. Both operate from the same location but are two separate types of business. One has been in business for years and been listed in GMB with no problem and comes up in searches. Its the other business that’s only been in business since this past December. Its this business that isn’t appearing in google searches. The business Facebook page but not his website. His listing has been verified since December. His is listing not showing up because of both business’s having the same physical address? If so is there anyway to fix this so that the newest business also appears in the listings?

two questions:

1# why don't you provide the NAP details of both businesses?

2# are you managing both listings in the same dashboard?

Attention: Google decided in their fathomless wisdom changing in March 2017 their system of notifications about new threads or responses in the GMB forum to a very worst behavior. This way they corrupted my workflow entirely. Don't expect I will notified about any new response by you on my posting here unless you're using the mentioning functionality on your new response - mentioning me per " @[my name]"

@Helmut Geissler

You asked

1# why don't you provide the NAP details of both businesses?

2# are you managing both listings in the same dashboard?

What is NAP stand for?

I can manage both but not from the same dash board.

One business is a fence company and the other is a solar business.

NAP is forum jargon and is the abbreviation for Name. Address and Phone

Hi @Scott R,

It looks like you have asked regarding this issue for a few months now. Let me see if I can get some clarrification for myself...

You stated you have two businesses on in one location but only one business is showing. Google goes by the address to show listings. Where are you not seeing it listed? In the Google Maps page?

If the business is the SAME TYPE of business, you may not have much success seeing it listed in maps along with the other business. This has been as issue that co-working spaces have experienced lately. If two of the same type business (ex: Attorney) were in the same address (ex: 1234 Main St. Suite 123) then Google shows only one.
EDIT: I see one is a fence company and the other is a solar company. See next point.

Do both businesses have the same phone number as well? Thats causes an issue for Google as well.

If you like, maybe list the websites URLS here and I can see what it looks like from my perspective.

Hope thats helps,

Best of Success,

Hello
Thanks for your reply.
Yes your correct. Both businesses are different from each other but both
have the same phone number and the same mailing address as both are located
in the office and building.

On another note, the solar business and its domain were new as of about 6
months ago. After these 6 months have passed the site still can't be found
doing a search.

I've done a lot of site seo, sitemap submission, I don't have a robots.txt
running either.

I'm not sure what else to do. Do you have any ideas and what to do
regarding a GMB listing?

I think you will have the biggest problem is with it being the same phone
number. We have clients is similar situation and we suggest they list
another number and have it call forwarded to major phone number. You can do
this using VOIP numbers. I do believe you might even be able to accomplish
this using a GOOGLE VOICE number.(which is a free alternative...gotta love
free, right?)

In regards to the solar site, what platform are you using to build it? Make
sure you have the site allowing the search engine robots to crawl the site.
I know Wordpress has the option ti allow or not allow SE robots.

Next, look at a few if these ideas for your solar site...
1) Do a proper XML Sitemap
2) Make sure to utilize categories and tags (sometimes referred to
collectively as taxonomies) properly.
3) Research the topic of Canonical URL's
4) Optimizing How Your Posts Look in the SERPs
5) Get your ROBOTS.txt going - look at

Best of success,
