Fake reviews bot?

There are two identities (Jake Walsh and Jacob Walsh) - both purporting to be attached to 'Walsh Team Realty'in the US. So far they have posted in excess of 15000 reviews (mostly of estate agents) many of which are of UK businesses. The reviews tend to be rating only or 3-5 words.

This is devaluing the credibility of G+ reviews and potentially misleading for Google users - could someone look into it?

Hi @Robin B

Thanks for this, will report.

I wonder what they are up to, all reviews are 5 star. Could this be a version of referral spam in a way. People want to see who made the review, then click through to profile and website ?

Hi @Robin B

There is more to this then meets the eye.

Whilst submitting escalation i did a little poking around their "estate agent" profiles and it shows they are a bit over zealous with google business pages.

I'll let you know when I hear back from the G team

Also - as a newbie here - I have inadvertently marked your response as 'best answer' (how polite am i?) when, of course, we have no answer to the issue at at hand yet - and i cannot 'undo' that action.

Hi Tim - they appear to have been taken down (from the few businesses I have seen). Do you know any more?

Hi @Robin B

They are working through them, but I don't get told actual details. At least they are aware of them now.
