Duplicate Google Business pages - How can we elminate one or combine them?

CME Websites

516 Lowry Avenue

Jeannette PA

724-523-3001

This is the page we are actively using and want to keep:

https://plus.google.com/+Cmewebsites

However, when a user searches for "CME websites" the listing that appears is not the G+ page - but a different, but nearly identical listing.

Can these be combined?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi Jane

I see from your screenshot that the duplicate page has been verified, so it is being managed by someone in a Google My Business dashboard.

Do you happen to know who that might be? It will be much quicker process if you do, but if you do not then it is still possible to get the pages merged

Let me know if you do know who owns that page, before I give you your options.

I have control. I can see them both when I log into
business.google.com/manage. I tried deleting the one I didn't want...but
the explanation indicated that I'm just removing it from my control and the
page would still show up in the map search.

Thanks,
Jane

Hi Jane,

That's excellent. Once you've deleted the unwanted page (and yes, it will stay on Maps for a short time)

get in touch with GMB support via one of the following options and ask them to mark the old (unverified listing) as permanently closed because it is a duplicate:

Talk to a Specialist

Facebook

Twitter

That will then result in just https://plus.google.com/+Cmewebsites showing up.
