Do I still need a brand page if I can post onto Google My Business?

I am a portrait artist. I have a Google Business page, a Brand page that was automatically created when I started the Business listing; a Brand page that I used previously. And a profile page.

Now that Google Business page has the opportunity to post, do I need the other brand pages? (At the moment it seems there are 4 different sites I need to post on and I'm trying to simplify it)

I'm not entirely sure what purpose the Brand pages serve. Presumably I cannot delete the brand page that is linked with the Business page?

Will posting in the Google Business page and my profile page be enough?

Do you work from home and sell elsewhere, have a studio and sell elsewhere or from the studio?

You should only have one of

Brand page

Store front GmB search result with address

Serve customers at their location as a contractor Service Area business with hidden address.

Hi Andrew

Thank you so much for your response.

I work from home as a portrait artist. And theoretically sell from home. Clients come to me for sittings and I sometimes go to them too. I provide a service but I do have a physical location.

Whenever I have new work I post it on my various social media as well as on my website. And at the moment, now that GmB has the facility to add posts, I am having to post on 4 different Google Plus locations: my profile, my 2 brands and my GmB.

I would love clarification as to whether I actually need ANY brand pages if I have google plus profile and GmB

My various google entities:
Google plus Profile: https://plus.google.com/+RosannaChittenden
Google my business: https://business.google.com/b/104132674254252241632/posts/l/01327836344650971384

Brand page that appeared when first opened GmB page: https://plus.google.com/104132674254252241632/

Brand page that I already had: https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/104001775551551628022/

I like my GmB page. Shows up well on side of google. Good to have it linked to maps as location difficult to find. Physical location important.

I like my profile page which I only use for work stuff anyway. And that shows up well on searches so helps my rating

The question is really as to the multiple brand pages. I think I would like to delete the original brand page that is not linked to the business.

Is there any advantage to having the brand page that is linked to GmB now that you can post photos onto the GmB page itself?

Is there any disadvantage to deleting either/both of them? And in fact can you delete the one linked to GmB?

All hideously confusing. I'm awash with googleness

Any advice gratefully received.

OK.

You are not a Brand really.

You can have a GmB listing with the Service Area option set so your address does not appear in search. Whether you go to the client or vice-versa does not matter. But Artist does not generate a Maps search result with a Red pin. Art Gallery does of course. So it will not do you much good I am afraid.

Brand pages and GmB listings were seperated some time ago. The GmB Brand page has 15 Followers and a Tick mark to say its a verified local business.

The two others are G+ Profiles.

Can you post a screen shot of your GmB edit page

I do not want to advise changes at the moment.

I would like to look at the screen shot for the Google my Business entry when you are in Edit mode where you can make changes.

I am sorry but the screen you show is one of your Google+ edit screens NOT a Google My Business Edit screen.

You did say when you created a Google my Business page in the past that it made a Google+ Brand page as well.

You need to read the link I gave you.

This box on the right seems to be a GmB with a Google+ part added on.

I do not want to say to make a change until I am clear how your 4 listings are interacting. If each Google+ listing has a different latest picture posted, along with GmB, it would be easier to see where the search result data is coming from.
