1. Full business name: Royal Palm Antiques
2. Current business address: Hidden as of now, been set to Service Area
3. Current telephone number: Not available either.
4. Google+ URL: https://plus.google.com/b/115315035515243595973/115315035515243595973/about?gmbpt=true&hl=en

I was wondering if there is a way that I can somehow convert a Business Listing to a Brand Pages as her store is only available online and her address is a private address along with the private phone number. Lately, she has been getting bad reviews due to people attempting to follow direction to her "store" which is actually a private address in an exclusive community.

I was wondering if there are any best practices for converting before I attempt to make changes and inadvertently cause duplicate info by accident, please do share.

I figure in the worst case scenario, I would have to contact the Google Business Support Team.

Thank you in advance for your help.

I contacted the Support Team and this is what they had to say:

Okay, so you can not convert a local page into a brand page. You can only create the brand page copy all of the content from the local page and put it into the brand page. Then delete the local page when everything is transferred

that's the best route and seems like the only way to do it?

Chris 11:36 AM
Yes that is the only way you can do it, just transfer all of the content to the Brand page :)

me 11:37 AM
Alright and what about the reviews? Can that be transferred?

Chris 11:39 AM
The review can't be transferred over. Brand pages don't have the feature for having reviews on the page

unfortunately I'm not aware any option to convert/revert a local page (not even a SAP with hidden address to a plain brand page)

@Jenna Moakley

Thanks for the feedback Jenna
The bad point in the answer the support gave you (I refer to "Then delete the local page when everything is transferred") is IMHO the fact you can't delete the local page.

Even if you would try deleting it from your dashboard it reappears a a unverified local page and it keeps alice as a unverified page until anybody is going to re-claim it in a dashboard.

The real crux is the fact a local page can't get deleted - by no means deleted.

Maybe Google will change their policy regarding this sometimes.

But actually we can't delete a local page :-(

@Helmut Geissler,

I did think that was bit strange since it used to be able to delete but now it just says stop managing this business. What do you think I should do about getting the listing removed somehow?
