Category while setting up Google business does not relate to my business

Hi,

I am a grain free home baker, (based in the UK) not a bakery.  How do I go about being more specific for my category.  Customers do not come to my house to collect goods.

Thank you.

Tara

Hi Tara,

The above seems a "Google my Business" query.

However, categories are not meant to describe what kind of service you provide but to indicate which branch of industry you belong to. You can provide the introduction or description on the G+ page. (Also, you have no option to add custom business categories to the default list.)

Best,
Lakatos

Thank you for the quick response Lakatos. much appreciated. I just don't
need anyone arriving at my house expecting a bakery....
Kind regards

there is unfortunately no other option as to pick up the closed possible
category from theier default list.

You the can describe your specifcs in your business description and website

Hi Tara,

just to add to Helmut's answer, you can (and should) hide your address when setting up your business page. You do this by making sure the checkbox next to 'i also serve customers at my business address' is unchecked.
