Can't see Listing on map
I manage the marketing for Mandurah Holiday Rentals. I created a Google My Business listing for them, built a G + page and populated a heap of content.
I later found out there was another listing already in existence. I claimed it and eventually requested for it to close. I was told that the other would just go in it's place and it would not affect ranking.
So I now go in to search on the map and the old listing still appears. It has not been removed. The new one (which is 4 + months old) is not on the map. Argghh. I'm so frustrated. This needs to be live and the other removed.
This is the new...https://business.google.com/b/106150287099727271586/dashboard/l/07134842196351822230?hl=en-GB
Re: Can't see Listing on map
It looks like the older listing is not actually claimed, which is a good thing.
What I recommend you do now, is mark the older listing (this one: https://www.google.com.au/maps/place/Mandurah+Holiday+Rentals/@-32.5132838,115.7400673,17z/data=!3m1... as closed due to being a duplicate business.
You do this by clicking on the 'Suggest an edit' option and then toggling the yes/no bar at the top of the pop up screen to yes. Then select 'duplicate' - the screen shot below might be of assistance in explaining what I mean.
This will allow Google's local database to be updated accordingly. I'm not sure how long it will take but if it's still visible in Maps within 2 weeks please circle back and let us know.
