Can't get rid of old business name, address, etc.

Our nonprofit organization, End of Life Choices New York used to be called Compassion & Choices-New York, and had a different address and phone number. Now when someone googles "End of Life Choices New York", the right hand side of the search page shows information about the old organization, with a photo and a map. I was able to indicate that organization was permanently closed, but how I get the information to disappear so it's no longer shown when people are searching for the new organization?

@Laurie L

is there already created and verified for the new address a GoogleMyBusines listing?

And is this the new address:

120 E. 23rd Street, Fifth Floor

New York, NY 10010

If so:

You should create and verify for the new address asap a new listing.

Once this is done you can contact business support asking them to redirect all search results showing right now the old and outdated address to the new and verified address

(edited the above advise)

I tried that solution and the old Google info popped back up in just a day. Any idea why?
