Business Permanently closed, want to reopen with other name

Hello All,

I am running a locksmith business here in OKC and want to buy a locksmith company which is now showing permanently closed on google map. The name of the business is "Security lock service" in OKC.

This is a very good business and now I want to acquire it, and I am new owner of this business now.

Now my question is, Can I open a new locksmith business on this address or should I rename this business as my new business ?

Let me know what is the legal way so that google didn't have any issue with this storefront.

Hi @Rachel M

I assume you will have a new name and tel number ?

If this is correct, then I would create a brand new business page >> https://www.google.com/business/

Because locksmiths are a highly spammed business vertical, make sure that the business is registered with your sec of state, with the same name and address as the Google business page details. https://www.sos.ok.gov/

Hi @Rachel M

Create a new business page, with new name and tel number.

Make sure the same name and address is used in the Sec of State business registration details, then all should be okay.
