Business Marked as Duplicate

Hi,

I added my business to google my business and google maps all at the same time. I am a swimming pool renovator, so my business is not a shop front i actually go to peoples houses to fix their pool. So when i added my business to google maps i just put in a suburb that was central to where all of my clients are from. But then as i proceeded i realised i need to verify the business with a post card. So i changed the address of the business to my apartment. I have verified this new address twice now, and successfully deleted the first address ( which was hard to figure out). But Google will still not verify my business as it says it is a duplicated. Can someone please help me, i feel that I'm loosing business from not being verified properly!!! Thank you

Hi @Shaun C

This business page is verified:

https://plus.google.com/112962408560108905657/about

Improvement Pools About Google .png

However, as you did say you were a service area business, I would select this option in the address section in your business page.

Go to dashboard >> https://business.google.com/manage/

In Card View >> Manage Location

Big red EDIT >> scroll down to address section

Underneath the address section >> there is a tick box

I serve Customers at their location.

You can set a service area or select actual areas.

Thanks for the reply, Tim.

That information was very helpful and i changed what you said which is great!

My google my business account is still having problems though. Although like you said it is verified, it says in red at the top of screen

We're not showing this page because it's a duplicate of another.Learn more

Hi @Shaun C

So here are the pages:

This one, is the one that is not showing as a duplicate:

https://plus.google.com/102560048645866179538/

This one is verified and live:

https://plus.google.com/112962408560108905657/about

Go to dashboard >> https://business.google.com/manage/

You should have both showing ( 1 x verified and 1 Not ) assuming you created both in same account.

You can delete the Duplicate.

Go to dashboard >> https://business.google.com/manage/

Select >> manage location ( NOT Published one, ie the duplicate )

Google My Business2.png

Then Top Left >> Drop down menu

Select Settings >>   scroll down and Delete
