Buisness uses a P.O. Box

Hello,

I am working on verifying a Google My Business listing on behalf of my client. I have not been able to verify the listing because the physical address of the location cannot receive mail. My client notified me that they rely on a P.O. Box. I tried to change the postcard destination to the P.O. Box address but was not able to.

How do I verify this listing?

hi Brienna
PO boxes are not eligible for verification.
your client should use either of this options listed here:
https://support.google.com/business/answer/2911778?hl=en

In case he decided to use the postcard option he have to specify the physical street address in the dashboard and request the PIN.
In case teh letter will not arrive within ten days the user should contact business support to get help and the business manually verified

The best way to contact business support:
contactflow & request a call back

Talk to a specialist

Global Phone Support Hours:
You can request in many (maybe not all though) countries a call back of experts of business support by phone. This should be possible on official working days and during their the day time only - try it from 9 or 10 AM until 5 or 6 PM

Hello,

Thank you!

Unfortunately, Google no longer allows you to verify a business listing manually over the phone. When I spoke to a general support specilialist this morning, she notified me that you can no longer resuest a call back for help and do not have a customer service line. Do you have any other options for how I can still portrays the business' listing without requiring a postcard verification?

@Brienna B

I have just double checked with our communication manager and it's not true support refuses to help on verification issues.

0. go to https://support.google.com/business/#topic=4539639
1. Click "Need more help?" in the upper right hand corner
2. Click "Verification"
3. Click "Other problem"
4. Click the article linked to the word "verification"
5. Scroll to the bottom of the article
6. Click "no" under the "did this article answer your question link
7. Contact form should appear in-line under the text
