If you find yourself building campaigns on a regular basis like me, then you’re likely to be using AdWords Editor (if not, then check it out ASAP). Since version 10.6 was made obsolete, I’ve found myself finding new and handy features each week in this latest version.
One feature in particular has been hiding from me in plain sight, but since discovering it I’ve been able to speed up my workflow even more so; I wanted to share this same feature with the community in case you also find it useful.
In the bottom left corner of AdWords Editor you’ll be familiar with a box labelled “Manage”, clicking on any section here (“Keywords” for example) will reveal a little icon enabling you to pop out the section into its own little window.
I’ve personally found that this is very useful when creating ads as you can quickly view keywords without having to switch back and forth between categories. The extra bonus is the fact that the window will change according to the ad group you click on, meaning that you don’t have to constantly click the pop-out window icon each time you navigate to a different part of the account.
I hope you guys also find it useful!
I have been managing AdWords accounts for over 8 years now at an international marketing agency level and also as a freelancer. I am very passionate about Google's PPC platform and pretty much anything else that is Google related. My theory in life is to learn something new every day and this community is definitely a good place to do so; I would recommend anyone reading this to stick around as it's an excellent source of information with great people contributing to it.
