In the heat of summer, here are five tips to refresh your summer sales:
1. Try airport targeting
What are people doing while waiting for flights at the airport? Chances are they’re searching on their mobile devices or tablets. Use this chance to promote your mobile apps, last-minute offers, and tourist deals. Airport targeting combined with device bidding can capitalize on this opportunity.
2. Build a relationship with your customers
Use Google+ pages to share your summer collection and promotions with both loyal and new customers. Your page, along with your profile image and recent posts, will be eligible to show on the right-hand side of Google Search results when relevant to a customer’s search. If you haven’t created a G+ Page yet, here’s how to get started. Also consider using Hangouts on Air to send a live video message to the public to highlight what’s cool about your business.
3. Combine social engagement with search ads
Adding a Google+ badge to your site is the perfect way promote your page and increase your followers (some of our top publishers saw a 38% average increase in followers after adding the badge to their site!). Then add a +1 button to your website pages; your AdWords ads can highlight all those +1’s through social annotations.
4. Remind your audience about hot summer deals
Don’t let customers forget about your great offers when they plan their next vacation — remind them with remarketing. Remarketing can show your ads to users who have previously visited specific pages on your website while they are surfing other websites on the web.
5. Create a seasonal campaign
Take advantage of the hot summer months by creating a seasonal campaign with fresh ads and ad extensions. Then track your conversions and adjust your bids as necessary to increase your summertime ROI.
