Google Performance Summit 2016: New Ad Features

One of the most important things you can do to keep your ads performing the best possible is to stay up-to-date on trends and changes in the industry. The annual Google Performance Summit happened earlier this week, and with it came a host of new AdWords feature announcements. While many of these features are not yet launched, it will serve you well to keep an eye out for these over the coming year and adopt those which are most suited to your business.


Expanded Text Ads


These ads are designed for a mobile-first world and designed to maximize your presence on search, especially mobile screens. You’ll get 50% greater ad copy, plus a more prominent headlines and space to tell your story

Responsive Display Ads


This new ad type will let you better integrate your ad into the flow of a publisher’s website, improving your performance as well as giving you greater creative control.

Local Search Ads


Soon there will be two new ways to engage with users on Google Maps: through promoted and branded pins. These pins will appear in distinct colors, helping your business stand out and bringing customers a step closer to your door.

Hi ... Is it possible to have Google Maps Ad (showing GMB listing higher in Google Maps using Ad feature) WITHOUT having google text ads turned on for Google Search ?  I mean if I create a campaign (advertise on search and search partners) and add location extension to Adwords but I pause the "" Text"" ad, WILL GOOGLE MAP show the location's GMB Listing  high in Google Maps ?
