Google Engage (Google Partners) | #AdWordsAnswers

Hi AdWords Community,

I’m Sonakshi from the AdWords team, and I’d like to share some information about a common question that we hear from customers: Google Engage.

So what exactly is Google Engage?

Google Engage was a program wherein Google provided dedicated support to agencies, primarily relating to AdWords. Additionally, Google provided online and in-person trainings to the agencies who had registered under this program.

Wait Sonakshi! Why did you say, it “was” a program? Does it not run anymore?

We had multiple programs that catered to similar needs, so we decided to create a unified program so that our users can reap more benefits without juggling separate platforms.

In late 2013 and early 2014, we fully deprecated the following four programs: the Google Certification Program, Google Engage, Agency Edge and Partner Search Engine, and rolled it together into one, called “Google Partners.” All prior users can sign up for Partners.

How exactly do you define Google Partners?

Google Partners is Google's premier program for individuals & digital agencies.

For agencies, web professionals, and online consultants, the new program delivers feedback on an agency's performance, and delivers tools and support resources to help develop their skills, improve their performance, and grow their business. And it doesn’t end there. Signing up for Partners is your one-click access to industry insights, product updates, and much more.

For individuals, it’s a certification platform that allows you to take online exams pertaining to Google AdWords, Analytics, and DoubleClick Search. You can also affiliate yourself with an agency via the same profile.

And what happens to the exams that we took under the previous programs?

We’ve migrated the exams for you, from those platforms to Partners. However, in case of any issues, please contact us (top right corner when you click on the link) and we’ll assist you in transferring these exams.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments section below, and we’ll address them in detail.
