Filter 'Downloaded Only' Campaigns in AdWords Editor

This is part of our "5x5" series, in which we share five tips per week over the course of five weeks. We will share must-have tips about AdWords Editor, account optimization, ad-writing best practices, and much more. Make sure to explore the full series.

If you work with a MCC (My Client Centre) containing hundreds or thousands of AdWords accounts, it can sometimes be a pain having to scroll and search through all of the accounts that you don’t even manage while in AdWords Editor. Take my scenario for example. I regularly manage 10 accounts that are kept in a MCC of over 100 accounts; ideally I only ever want to see that list of 10 accounts when switching from one account to another. Thankfully AdWords Editor has a function to do exactly that!

Click on Accounts while in Editor to open up the usual “Accounts manager” window. In the bottom left corner of the window you will notice an un-checked option beside “Only show downloaded accounts”. Enabling this will filter your accounts so that you are only presented with the ones that you’ve already downloaded in the past.

It’s as simple tip but will hopefully buy you a little more time, and ease a little more frustration from your workflow each day!

about Scott Dunroe

I have been managing AdWords accounts for over 8 years now at an international marketing agency level and also as a freelancer. I am very passionate about Google's PPC platform and pretty much anything else that is Google related. My theory in life is to learn something new every day and this community is definitely a good place to do so; I would recommend anyone reading this to stick around as it's an excellent source of information with great people contributing to it.
