In order to make a campaign Automated, Adwords has introduced several tools that not only help to increase the conversion but reducing the CPA as well as Time.
Display Campaigns Optimizer(DCO) is one of the advance tools that automatically optimized the campaigns, without any targeting (e.g. Keyword/placement/Topics/Interest).
It only works based on the campaign’s past performance, CTR and history of Display URL of the Ad Copy.
Initially this advance feature was in Beta but now it has been publicly open for all advertisers.
Requirement of DCO Campaigns:-
Conversion Tracking Should be enabled.
Campaigns should have at least 15 Conversion.
Benefits of Using DCO Campaigns:-
Helps to show the ads on additional placements, based on the user’s behavior, that are likely to be convert.
Helps to reduce the CPA and increase the conversions of the campaigns.
Time saving is one of the important benefit that can be availed by using DCO.
Limited Control of the campaign,
If one can change the budget, destination URL, ad copy and Bid, the campaigns take some time to be stable.
It is not good for that account, which has limited budget.
If the campaigns has Poor Conversion rate and Higher CPA, one should try to reduce CPA and Increase Conversion rate before enabling DCO Tools.
