I'm assuming the following referrals are basically worthless robot hits?

I was clipping along at a little over 300 hits a day, then I changed domains and took a pretty sizeable hit in daily sessions. I'm getting close to being where I was before the change, and all of a sudden....

I had over 600 sessions yesterday. Whoa! Crazy right? But I made very little AdSense revenue. So I figure the "bots" must have found me and spammed my analytics with a bunch of robo-hits.

I shared a fairly popular post on social media, so I expected a bit of a jump, and I did notice a spike in hits to that particular page under "direct", but no way that accounted for doubling my daily hits overnight.

com.google.android.apps.plus accounted for 138 of the hits. Is that just a robot?

Hi @James W,

Good to hear from you. Yes, the bots are lovin' your site. Filter them out and resume.

Kind Regards,
