Google Tag Manager

Hello! In Wordpress, when drafting a blog post, there is a section to create and add tags to that post. Would it be better/faster for my blog website to remove those tags I've put on each post and then re-add them using Google Tag Manager? Or are these separate "tags"? Thanks!

Hi Ora-Monet,

Tags within a blog post in WordPress are completely different from what Google Tag Manager does.

Please take a look at the two links I provided and then let us know if we can help further.

All the Best,

James

Hi Ora-Monet H:

The Google Tag Manager is for the "tags" such as from Google analytics.  It offers lots of options on how and where your tags fire.  If you use multiple Javascript tags for various functions like analytics from multiple sources, you can put them all in the manager.  From then on, you have one block of code you add to your site, and can modify the way all your functions work without needing to change the coding on your site.
