tracking conversions

Where in the conversion tracking tool do I add the actual action to track? For example I want to track sales, but I don't see anywhere in the set up where I can add the url for the sale. Or similarly if I want to track newsletter sign ups, I don't see where I add that, so that the tool knows someone signed up for my newsletter.

Hi Craig,

You need not to put any url in Conversion tool. All you need is to place a code snippet to your thank you page (or the page user see after completion a signup or sales).

Go through the url above, and follow the steps for tracking conversion on websites.

I hope this will help you.

Ah, OK that makes sense, I had not thought about the "thank you page". OK, now I know what to do. Thank you both very much for your help.
