"The application “Google AdWords Editor” can’t be opened." error Mac OS 10.11.6

Hello -  - I've installed AdWords Editor 11 11 (latest version downloaded from Google), and installed on my mac running OS 10.11.6, and every time I try to launch it, I get this error:

The application “Google AdWords Editor” can’t be opened.

I've uninstalled, deleted .config files, and Application Support files, rebooted - no success.

Anyone have any idea what's going wrong?

Assuming you dragged to /Applications, what's the output of the following command?

spctl --assess -vv '/Applications/Google AdWords Editor.app'

It should be the following:

/Applications/Google AdWords Editor.app: accepted

source=Developer ID

origin=Developer ID Application: Google Inc.

Assuming the aforementioned, run the following, which should return the same output.

spctl --assess -vv '/Applications/Google AdWords Editor.app/Contents/Versions/11.7.0.0/Google AdWords Editor.app'

Assuming the app passes security assessment, do you see more info if you run from command line as follows:

open '/Applications/Google AdWords Editor.app'

Does the following folder exist after attempting to run?
/Users/$USER/Library/Application Support/Google/Google-AdWords-Editor/249

Are there any Editor logs in /Users/$USER/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports?

Does running the following have any effect?
lsregister -kill -r -all l,s,u
