"Just the phone number"? - On the contrary!
For some of my clients I run "Mobile devices campaigns" with a call extension. I chose the option to display "Just the phone number" (Vs. "Both my website and the phone number" option). Indeed, at least until today, the ads on the smartphones displayed the phone number with a small icon, and the clicks have made the phone ready for making the call.
Today I found out that the phone numbers have disappeared from all of those ads (in all the accounts) and the ads do not function as "click to call" ads. Only after switching to "Both my website and the phone number" mode, the numbers came back.
I don't know how long does this problem exist. I ran into it today, checking a client's complaint
Is there any explanation? solution?
