pause keywords when MOBILE impressions reach X

I know I can set up a rule to pause a KW when it reaches certain number of impressions, but I can't find a way to tie this metric to mobile impressions.  It just takes the total of mobile, desktop and tablet...

Is this possible?  Do I need to use adwords API?

Hi Clayton, interesting question!

It might be possible via AdWords Scripts, but would need some structural setup to work.  Off the top of my head, the only way I can think of doing this is to have the Keyword you want to control on its own in an Ad Group and have that Ad Group contain two (or more) Ads, one (or more) of which is set to mobile preference.  You might then be able to use Scripts to test the impressions on that (those) Ad Id(s) (the mobile ones).

I'm saying "might" because I'm not at my desk at the moment and can't check or do any tests, but that's my intiial thoughts.

Can I ask why you'd want to do this?
