The amount of money you are going to make with AdSense is going to be closely related to the number of visitors you get to your site...

Think about an average cost per click - let's say - 20 cents.... and then lets consider the average CTR - most people are fairly happy with 0.1% - so that's a thousand visitors for each click.

If the "rumours" are true, Google gives about 2/3 of the click revenue to the publisher - so for the 20 cent click you get around 13 cents....

so 1,000 visits for 13 cents.... that means for your $6 (lets stick to dollars, now I've started) you've needed to get 46,154 visits.....

Unless you have a good number of visits to your blog then your income stream from AdSense is going to be relatively low - even if you had 10x the visits - almost half a million visits, you'd still only have made $60... pages like the Huffington Post and the New York Times make a lot of money with AdSense - most good blog writers manage to pay to renew their domain and pay the hosting!

Hi there,

This is the AdWords Community, so users might not be able to help with other products, like AdSense. You might want to try using the AdSense Community for more information: http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/adsense
