Hello Nigel ! Welcome to the AdWords forum !

 

First select a time-frame for your keywords, then make sure you selected all the columns that you want ( maybe select also the "conversions" column ) , then click on the "download button" above the keywords table.

Your true keyword performance however lies in the keyword matching the search terms. This is why I would recommend you to take a look at that report too , just by clicking on "Details / All" above the keywords (with at least a few days of data selected in the time-line):

[Later edit] To make this answer complete , I must add that you can use the AdWords editor to download you campaigns and keywords and this is useful in order to have a backup before a change.
