i am new to addwords but learning slowly i run a taxi limo service i have recently come across conversion just wanted to ask if it is really hlepfull or significant for my business

Hi Fundy747,

 

Conversions are actions that you, as the advertiser, are trying to get accomplished by running ads online.  For instance,  if you were collecting leads for your company, a conversion would be affirmed when a user successfully completed a web lead form that was on your landing page.  The conversion tracking code is placed on a page of your website immediately following the set conversion action.  In this web lead form example, the conversion code would be placed on the Thank You page that would appear after the form is submitted.

If you have a booking page on your website where customers can book your limos it would be very usefull for you to implement a conversion script as Tom (PPCBossman) described.

It would enable you to discover which of your AdWords campaigns are actually bringing in bookings/customers and which campaigns are not. From there you could for instance increase your spending in the campaigns that are gaining you business and pause other areas which are not. Furthermore it would give you insights into which areas you should expand with new adgroups/campaigns.

 

So overall, if you have a booking page or contact page on your site where people can sign-up for your services its a good idea with the conversion tracking.
