Why is my average CPC is usually 10 to 50 times the est top page bid ?

The vast majority of my clicks cost more than ten times the est top page bid.

How is this possible and does anyone else experience this ?

Hi Mandlbaur and welcome to the Community.

The first thing to appreciate about these figures is that they are estimates, not absolutes.  Then you also have to appreciate that the actual CPC you pay will depend upon your circumstances.  The actual CPC you pay will be affected by the Quality Score of your Keywords and other performance factors in your account.  It may be affected by your targeted location(s) or by your Ad scheduling.

How long has your Account been running?

Hi,

Adding more to the conversation.

I would suggest you to use the Adwords auction Insight for your keywords. This way you will have an idea about your competitors bids, average position etc including yours.

Refer to this link to know about the auction insight.

Just a thought!
