Why are my display network remarketing lists empty?

Hi everybody.

I've implemented the AdWords remarketing tag on the site more than 3 weeks ago and it's showing as being active. I've also setup rule-based remarketing lists, however they are appearing as empty. Is that because I need a certain number of unique visitors to hit those pages before I can use them? What is that number?

I'm really keen to start using the AdWords remarketing but at the moment I'm a bit stuck and I'm considering using 3rd parties such as AdRoll.

Thank you very much!

Hello,

If the tag is added corectly visitors should be appearing in the Audience tab even if they are 5 or 10.

There is a minimum of 100 in order to user the Remarketing list in an ad group as targeting, but you will see the list growing in smaller increments than 100.

Some things to troubleshoot this situation :

a) Use the Tag Assistant plug-in for Chrome to verify if the AdWords tag is working on your pages . You can download it from here

b) Or you can share your site here if you want and forum members can check its pages for you.

c) you can click on the list name which appears in blue and it will take you to a page with a graph showing the evolution of the list per day. For example it could look like this

Hi Adrian, thanks very much for the reply. I used the Tag Assistant and saw some errors, which we fixed and now it's appearing to be all good. However, the lists are still not populating, even though there's quite a bit of traffic going to the site and the specific landing pages.

Could you please have a look at the following links and let me know if you see any other issues? Thanks very much. I really appreciate it!
