When it will be available to create Mobile Device Campaigns?

We have an issue with an Account and we want to run a campaign only for mobile devices during the early morning hours. During the same hours we dont want to run ads in desktop computers at all.

We spoke with a representative of Google Support and they replied that soon will be available an option to create a Campaign only for mobile devices. We ask if anyone from Google here knows about the release date of this option, to create  Mobile Device Campaigns.

Okay - there is a work around here… it is a little complicated - but the first thing is set your keyword bids to manual at the campaign level. Put 1/3rd of the total amount you are willing to pay. Then go to Settings - in your settings there is a link to the change mobile devise settings. If you go there, you can increase the budget 300%. So let's say you are willing to pay .60/click for a mobile click - put .20 at the keyword level - then increase it 300% FOR MOBILE. 300% is the max. Now your budget is .60/click for mobile and .20/click for table and desktop. You can also do this for non-mobile, you would reduce the bis 100% - so no one goes to a mobile site. This works great if you have a m. URL for mobile… Hope this helps!

And one more thing…you will still get some to the desktop and tablet - but if you make adjustments to the keyword bids, you will find the sweet spot where you will get really low volume for the desktops/tablets. Also, it is helpful, if you do have a specific mobile URL - like m.XXXXX.com that users have the ability to go to the regular desktop version, so you don't lose the click. Does that make sense?

As Colleen said, currently your only option is to set really low bids and use a bid multiplier to raise your mobile bids. This will hopefully help your ads only show on mobile.

The highest bid multiplier you can use is +300% so work within that limitation.

You can also write ads that are more likely to work on mobile like using text (call us) or using call extensions, etc...
