Using Smart Lists with Non E-Commerce Accounts

Has anyone used a smartlist on an account that does not track e-commerce transactions?

Would it work well in an account that tracks sign up conversions?

Hi @Jessica L excellent question, and I don't actually know the answer.  Although the help file uses ecommerce as an example, the main body simply talks about "conversions".  Probably the most important aspect is the number requirement, you need 500 conversions a month for the list to work from your own data, if you don't get that many, the list is created based upon businesses similar to yours.  I'm not sure how well this would work for sign-ups.

I'll try and find some clarification.

Thank you Jon,

I think the only solution would be to test it out myself.
I was hoping somebody else might have already tested this, so if it's not viable, I won't be wasting budget and time.

I'll let you know how it goes, if my client gives me the go ahead.

Hi Jessica,

Do you still need help with this, or were you able to test it?
