Trafficking Adwords banners through DFA

Hi,

My client would like to traffic their GDN banners through DoubleClick for Advertisers so that they can track them. From asking around, it seems the way to go about this is to upload the ads on DFA, generate tags and then upload the tags on Adwords (This could be totally wrong)

Has anyone done this before? I need help with the two steps, generating tags from DFA and uploading them on Adwords (Can't see any option to upload tags)

Hi Justin,

It sounds like your client is interested in using a Floodlight tracking pixel for DoubleClick for Advertisers. To start, it’s normal for you not to see an upload button as these tags are uploaded by our teams internally (no worries here).

To implement your tags what you need to do is first create your campaigns in the AdWords interface, as well as specific  ad groups. You will also need to add placements to your ad groups (note: we cannot implement tags if you have less than 4 placements).  Once you have completed the above steps, an AdWords specialist, such as those you can contact via 1-866-2-GOOGLE, chat, or email support, will activate your tags within 3 business days of submission if the ads comply with our policies including Display ads specs.

I hope this helps! Don’t hesitate to reply on the thread if you have further questions.
