The +1 button in AdWords

Hello AdWords PPL,

I would like to have +1 button in my ads.

Could you please tell me where I can do it?

Is it shown only with banners?

If someone likes my Ad well my Google+ be in his circles?

Is there reason why I should not do it?

Thank you

Hi Luk as,

Google is phasing out social extension management. You may see following announcement from google when you will try implementing it.

"We're phasing out the management you do here, since social annotations are automatic. Continue monitoring their performance with the "Segment" menu (choose "+1 annotations")."

Please note that this doesn't mean that you can't show social annotation on ads , it means that its not required to setup a social extension now as Google will show Social annotations automatically with your ads if you fulfill following points :

"Your Google+ page has to be linked to your website.
Follow these instructions to link your Google+ page and your website if they aren't already linked. This will allow social annotations to appear, and it'll also help your Google+ page and website be discovered in Google search.
The domain of your ad's display URL has to match the website URL you've added to your Google+ page.
For example, George's ad that has a URL of happysnacks.com/low-carb will match with a Google+ page that displays the website URL of happysnacks.com because they share the same domain.
If you have the same site with different top-level or second-level domains for different countries, contact us and ask us to match these. For example, your ads lead to google.fr and google.co.uk, but your Google+ page displays the URL google.com
Your Google+ page needs to have recent, high-quality posts and a significant number of followers, meaning a minimum of 100 for most companies.
Keep in mind

Social annotations may not show all the time on your ads. Whether or not they show depends on several things, including the size of the browser window and other extensions or information showing with your ad.
You can opt out of showing social annotations on the ads associated with your Google+ page by using this form or contacting us."

Hi Lukas,

The +1 button will be available when you are using the Social Extensions and your Google+ page is properly linked with your website (See this for details: https://support.google.com/plus/answer/1713826).

It's not that this extension will be shown always.Depending upon various signals how Adwords system work, there is a possibility that these social extensions are shown randomnly.

I would also suggest you to read this reference for more insights on Social extensions: https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/1722132?hl=en

Hi Lukas
To check how the user are interacting with "+1", go the ads tab of the ad group and select "+1 annotation" in segment drop down menu.

I think the user will go to the google plus page and then he/she have to
manually add you in their circle.
