Text ads with live feeds

Hello! People

We are running an ecommerce website. We want to show our live prices on text ads. Is there a possibility of showing our ads through any live feeds or API.

For example: if we are bidding on a keyword like Sony xPeria m on search network. We want to show the real time price of the phone through our website product page.

Thanks

Rohan

Hi Rohan, this is certainly possible using either the API or Scripts; which you choose depends upon the size of your business, the range of your products and, to some extent, the availability of your data.

In short, you'd build Ads including the {param} field and then update this parameter as and when needed.  For example:

Sony xPeria M just ${param1:500}

As with Dynamic Keyword Insertion, you need to provide some default text to display (in the above example 500), then you'd use Scripts or the API to update the value of the Keyword(s) parameters for parameter 1.  If you make Param1 489, the Ad would read:

Sony xPeria M just $489

The trickier part can be retrieving these figures from your data source...

Hi Rohan, As Cobnut says it is very much possible. You may hve to establish a db/ftp connection with your feed database and regularly parse it for updates. Then using adparam, you can update your ads. This thing has worked for me quite well.
