Text ads to banner ads

We all know that when we now run text ads on the display network, Google will turn them into banner / image ads. That's ok - sometimes. But how can we see or even control / pause an image size generated from that text ad?

No, you can't control that.

I'd be curious to understand better what size you'd like to turn off and why?
The product team is always eager to hear feedback from advertisers.
Is there something that you feel looks particularly awkward or that you suspect doesn't perform well?
Feel free to include a screenshot.

For one, most of the image/banner ads Google creates from our text ads look like garbage. In particular, I HATE the 728x90 size. Those have the poorest performance record of all banner sizes.
In addition, that was a sneaky ploy on Google's part to start doing this (making our text ads into banner ads). It was so much better when Google left our text ads alone and let us design and create our own banner ads.
So, some visibility into the performance of our text ads and the size breakdowns of the stats would be awesome.
