Targeting Option,And/Or condition?

Hi,

We are running a display campaign right now, pertaining targeting below is the what we set in adwords:

(1) Demo Target   : Female & Unknown

(2) Interest Target : Beauty & Fashion

The questions, does the ad serve out only when one of the above condition meet (Female OR Unknown) ? Or, does the ad serve out when (Female + Beauty Interest)

I have on colleague happen to spot the ad in somewhere, she is using company email address log in to the system, and when she serve a "Foot ball website", she saw the ad, is that normal since she is surfing a male skew website?

Appreciate if anyone can help shed the light on this.!

Thanks.,!

Hi Li,

# if you set "Target and Bid" option it only shows ads to the users that intersect both the targeting.

# if you set " Bid only" option, it shows ads to the users who intersects both the targeting and users whose interest match with the targeting Interest.

Please read Target and Bid and Bid only:-https://www.en.adwords-community.com/t5/Set-up-and-basics/What-is-exactly-Bid-Only-and-Target/m-p/24...

Adwords shows creates the interests list with users browsing history. If She saw your ads on the "Male Skew Website". It means she is interested in "Beauty and Fashion" category.
Based on her system browsing history, Google shows ads to users.
