Site changing from http:// to https://

Hi Team,

Currently our site is moving from http:// to https://. There will be a redirect after migrating,

My concern is,

1. Do we need to change all the landing pages from http to https manually.

2. will there be any affect in the performance.

3. We don't have the keyword level URL's and have only Ad level. After updating will the URL's need an approval.

4. If we don't update the landing pages and rely on the redirect will there be any affect.

5. Is there any impact on tracking the Dynamic search ads?

It would be really helpful if i can get the solutions for the above queries.

Thanks in Advance

Raghu

Hi Raghu,

My first question is whether you will be using permanent redirection 301 from HTTP to HTTPS or which one?

Also, if I would have been there, I would have used the new URLs that starts with HTTPS.

Dynamic search ads work on the basis of how well your site is present in organic search results. So you might expect some changes when you change from HTTP to HTTPS.

Thanks Pankaj,

We are going to have permanent redirect from http to https.

Currently we dont have keyword level URL's and have only Ad level landing pages. If we update the URL, The ad will be treated as a new one?

Thanks
Raghavendra
