Site appears incorrectly in Display Network

Hi there!

I am trying to refer people to AdWords to purchase ads on my site directly from AdWords rather than through me. However, they say that they are unable to find my site.

I have tested this with my own AdWords account, and I am also unable to find my site.

I have read some related threads here and am following the instructions on this page. But my site does not show up when I enter its URL in the search bar; rather, competitors' sites show up.

Any thoughts on how to allow people to purchase ads through AdWords on my site?

Thanks in advance!

Customer in Adwords can still target your site by adding it as a site placement

Hi Erin B,

Go to your AdSense account and click on "My ads". Click on the name of the channel you wish to be targetable. Check the box that says, "Show this custom channel to advertisers as a targetable ad placement". Do that for each channel you wish to be targetable.

That should do the trick.

Best of Luck,

Pete

Hi there, Pete. Thanks! I double checked that, and yep, I've got two channels already set as targetable (in AdSense), but they don't show up when I search (in AdWords). But I do see lots of other related sites.

Is it possible that my own site is excluded somehow from a search?

That's the thing--my site isn't showing up there at all.

Edit: I think I see what you were talking about--advertisers need to click "Multiple placements" and type in the URL there.
