Once I have created an ad in the shaed library area I can assign at the campaign level or the adgroup level. How do I assign the entire account?

Hi Colin,
No, in the UI, you can only do it by campaign.
If you want to do it quicker over all campaigns, use AdWords editor.

If these are search ads and you have lots of campaigns and adgroups, expect to see poor performance and increased costs.

Hi Colin,
This isn't really what these specific ads are for. They're more for branding ads and testing as well as transmedia style display ads.

If you're assigning the ads, which you have to do at the campaign level, you should assign them sparingly. Otherwise your relevance and hence quality score will suffer. This will drive your costs up.

If you really must copy ads over your entire account, you might want to consider using AdWords editor which can be downloaded here: http://www.google.com/intl/en/adwordseditor/

Looks like we'll have to write something that uses the API then. Thanks
