Separating ties from PPC/SEO manager, and I don't want them to mess things up.

My company is planning on separating business relations with our current PPC/SEO manager due to their dishonest practices. We'd like to make sure that we are protected from any foul play that may occur. The last thing we want is for them to destroy our current standings, progress, and reputation on their way out.

So far I have made back-ups of our websites just in case. Is there anything else I should do, and is there anything that Google can do to take more preventative measures. Does PPC offer backups?

Hey Jacob,

As long as you remove their AdWords account access as soon as the relationship is severed you should be fine as they won't have time to make any changes to the paid search account. Just in case, I would recommend making a backup of the entire AdWords account using AdWords Editor. Once you have downloaded the program and linked it to you paid search account you can follow the brief instructions here: https://support.google.com/adwords/editor/answer/38658?hl=en

Doing this will give you the ability to upload this file and have your account reverted to the exact same state it was in when the backup was created.

Lastly, you can monitor the change history in AdWords for any foul play after the news is broke to your manager: https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2454137?hl=en

Hope that helps and good luck.

You could backup your AdWords account using the editor.

This requires some learning, before you begin.
