I had a review with a Google support person some time ago who told me about seller ratings and we discussed using the likes of Truspilot to get 150 views pver 3.5 stars in the last 365 days.
We have 164 reviews with truspilot at 4.8 starts and 94 Google reviews at 4.8 with a bunch of others like Yell, Yelp etc.
I've spent the last month talking to Google support and had so many conflicting stories that I really don't know what I need to do to get the gold stars showing on our ads (great for us as a local business as non of our competitors have this)
Do I need to do anything else to get the stars to show? I can't bring myself to contact Google again on this - as far as I'm concerned they should be ashamed to take my £2k per month and offer such appalling support.
Be grateful of any guidance.
Thanks very much.
Hi @Chris E,
You may want to review your performance data with the automated extensions report. In fact maybe they are displaying, just that not very often. You also may be interested in the below help page.
*** Make seller ratings more likely to show ***
In addition to viewing the resource Lakatos provided, you can follow the instructions here to see exactly how many ratings Google has indexed for your domain:
Note: Google will not index Google or Yelp reviews. They only index reviews from the services listed here (https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2375474) and here (https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/7233787).
You can check the Automated Extension report to see if/how often your Seller Ratings show with your ads. See more info here: https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/7175034?hl=en
I hope that helps!
Thanks Lakatos - I've checked the automated extensions report and they are definitely not showing unfortunately. I've read the article too thanks and it looks as though stellservices costs $5k per year or have I misunderstood that? Thanks for the answer
HI John thanks for the answer. No Google has no data in their index. We've been collecting truspilot reviews for the last 9 months and passed 150 about 5 weeks ago. We're now at 165. Truspilot is on that list.
On Friday Google told me that that Truspilot reviews don't count towards seller ratings even though it's on the list - although that Google view contradicted previous advice.
Talking to Google support is just an exercise in frustration I'm afraid so I don't really know to go with this now!
A few other things to consider:
Have you a paid plan with Trustpilot? Not 100% sure that they would feed the reviews to Google for free, the Gold Stars are a key selling point for review platforms (disclosure: I work for a competitor of Trustpilot - eKomi)
Also, have you recently achieved the >150 reviews mark - there can be a lag in Google picking up the reviews.
Finally, a tip: once you solve this riddle be sure to enable rich snippets - you will also be able to activate your hard-won stars next to certain organic results with subdomains.
Hope this helps - by all means share your domain with me and I will be happy to provide other possible remedies.
This is very strange, as I look at your account it appears that you have done everything correctly to qualify for a 4.8 or 4.9 rating with Google and that you probably should have had the rating for a few weeks now (you qualified late June as far as I can see).
I'm going to ask one of my colleagues who deals with our Google feed to take a look for you, so will revert.
In the meantime, with such good ratings I'd definitely enable Rich Snippets so that you can get stars next to important organic listings that rank in search such as: armafone.com/apple-ipad-iphone-repair/
Seller Ratings[ Edited ]

A little further digging for you. Google can sometimes disregard certain reviews that it does not like, therefore bringing your total below 150. At eKomi we can see this from our end for our Google feed so I could tell you if this was the case, but we don't have your feed link.
So, if you ask Trustpilot for the lookup via the Trustpilot Seller Feed URL you will be able to see if Google has discounted any of your reviews, in which case just push on to get more reviews and you will soon have the stars you deserve!
Hope this helps.
