Running ads one day a week

Are there any disadvantages in terms of ranking and QS if you have a campaign that runs only on a particular day of the week when you offer a special deal?

Would it be better to use ad-scheduling or manually pause the campaigns?

What if it were bi-weekly or even monthly? (As in running a campaign only one day during that period)

No, there's no particular disadvantage or drawback to running campaigns only at particular times.

The only difference automation/manual ad pausing makes is the time of day it gets done. Automated rules will probably resume your ads at 12:01 a.m. on the designated day. If you're doing it manually, it won't happen until you go in and do it. (Or, be more accurate, it won't initiate resuming your ads until the moment you click the button.) Which you choose is entirely up to you.
