Rotate Evenly By Adgroup

I have added a new ad format to just one of my adgroups which doesn't seem to be performing particularly well. I'd like to test this new ad evenly versus the other ads in my adgroup however to do so I have to change the ad rotation setting for my entire campaign, not just the single adgroup I would like to test. Apart from creating a whole new campaign for this adgroup, is there a way I can rotate evenly at adgroup level?

Hi Sarah,

Welcome to the community!

Ad rotation setting is only available at campaign level, it is not available for individual ad groups.

Sir Ad Rotation is available at campaign level only..... But for some you can pause old ads as they are not performing well and run only new ad with dynamic keyword insertion....if you get good performance for some days then keep it running and also decide whether you want old adds to run or not....

Hi Sarah,

In Addition to the excellent point received by Deepak, I would suggest you can use the Campaigns experiment to perform the A/B testing with the Ads. Also the Rotate evenly does not distribute the Impression equally among two ads. Thus to avoid this use the AdWords Campaigns Experiment(ACE) and then you can apply in single Ad Group.

Here is the link for more info and ACE setting.
